Includes large wood burning fireplace, indoor JenAir grill, covered porch, upstairs loft, balcony and large dock just steps from the porch. The lake is private so no fishing license is required. Catch crappie, catfish and bass right off dock or just relax and enjoy the beauty of this hidden gem.

Summary: This is a great home on the lake if you are looking for a spot to relax and enjoy the water in the Athens area. Our host, Shelia, was so welcoming and provided us with an intro to the house and grounds, as well as the best recommendations for local restaurants. We ate at all of them and were impressed! The house is comfortable and the kitchen fully stocked with everything you could need. Unfortunately, we needed Wi-Fi so we could work one of the days we were there and it was spotty. Also, our cell coverage was almost non-existent (Verizon). The rest of our time it didn't matter because we were looking to unplug, but something to be aware of if you do need it. Even with that we had full streaming capabilities on the big flat screen in the living room so we could watch tv shows and movies at night. The outside is truly the highlight with a large lawn, dock, fire pit, hammock and even kayaks to take out on the lake. We brought our dogs and they loved running around the yard which is fully fenced and secure. The community is gated, and there is a pool that you have access to as a guest. Fair warning that some of the neighborhood is not as well cared for as other parts, however the homes on either side of the rental were very nice, the neighborhood felt safe, and it was quiet day and night. Overall we had a great stay and would recommend!
